KEVIN E. POSEN

Mr. Posen is President and Managing Partner of Teller Levit & Silvertrust, P.C. He graduated from Loyola University of Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1983. He received his Juris Doctor degree in 1990 from The John Marshall Law School of Chicago, having also been an Executive Editor of the Software Law Journal, now known as The John Marshall Journal of Computer and Information Law. He was admitted to the Illinois State Bar in 1990 and subsequently to the Federal Trial Bar, United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois in 1991 and the Central District of Illinois in 2011. He focuses his practice in the areas of Business Litigation; Commercial Collection Litigation; Creditors' Rights; Commercial Landlord Representation on Breach of Lease and Eviction cases; and Post-Judgment Collection.

EDWARD S. MARGOLIS

Mr. Margolis is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honors in 1965 and his Juris Doctor Degree in 1968. His areas of concentration include the handling of trials and appeals in the Illinois State and Federal Courts and the defense of preference actions in the United States Bankruptcy Court.

Mr. Margolis is a frequent guest speaker at the Chicago Bar Association and the Commercial Law League of America on topics relating to civil practice and commercial law.

He has also written numerous legal articles in the areas of civil practice and commercial law for the Illinois Bar Journal, The Commercial Law League Journal (Debt³) and The Chicago Lawyer, as well as general feature articles published in Chicagoland Magazine, the JUF News, and the Chicago Sun Times. Mr. Margolis is a member of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists and the featured political cartoonist on MidEastTruth.com. Mr. Margolis holds membership in: Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and Commercial Law League of America. He holds an “AV” rating with Martindale-Hubbell.

HAROLD STOTLAND

Harold Stotland is a graduate of the University of Chicago, where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1961. He received his Law Degree, with Honors, from John Marshall Law School in 1964. He concentrates his practice in the field of Creditors’ Rights, and has represented commercial and consumer creditors, both secured and unsecured. He has also represented trustees in bankruptcy, and trustees in assignments for the benefit of creditors. He is a member of the Commercial Law League of America, as well as the Chicago Bar Association.

Mr. Stotland has lectured before the Illinois Institute on Continuing Legal Education, the Chicago Bar Association, the Commercial Law League of America, and Lorman Educational Services. He authored the chapter “Enforcement of Judgments” in Creditors’ Rights in Illinois, 1990, and has presented full-day seminars to large credit organizations, as well as commercial collection agencies and their clients. He holds an “AV” rating with Martindale-Hubbell.

Senior Associate:

THOMAS M. GEARHART

Tom is a graduate of The John Marshall Law School in 1983 after securing his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Akron in 1980. He is a member in good standing with the Illinois State Bar Association and the Federal Trial Bar, United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois. He learned his craft with one of Chicago’s volume commercial litigation firms during the 1980’s, and then operated his own commercial litigation practice under the Law Office of Thomas M. Gearhart , Ltd. From 1992 – April, 2005. Since then, he was the senior associate at Baker & Miller, P.C., another creditor’s rights firm in Chicago . He is a member in good standing with the Commercial Law League of America and the Illinois Creditors Bar Association and he has lectured at various companies and collection agencies on the various aspects of handling and resolving commercial claims.

Associates:

GRAHAM M. LICCARDI

Graham graduated cum laude from The John Marshall Law School in 2009, having been the Lead Articles Editor from The John Marshall Review of Intellectual Property Law. His law review article The Computer Fraud and Abuse Act: A Vehicle for Litigating Trade Secrets in Federal Court was published in the Fall 2008 issue. While in law school, Graham was also a member of the Trial Advocacy and Dispute Honors Counsel. Graham attended Miami University, Oxford Ohio where he earned a Master of Science in Higher Education and Student Affairs and also his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History.

Prior to joining Teller, Levit & Silvertrust, Graham was an associate with a firm specializing in commercial and retail collections. He is also a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and The Justinian Society of Lawyers.

Graham concentrates his practice in the areas of Creditor’s Rights and Commercial Litigation.

SPENCER GRAHAM

Spencer graduated from The John Marshall Law School in 2012. While at John Marshall he earned Dean’s List honors and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal honors fraternity. Additionally, Spencer was a member of The John Marshall Law School Business Transactions Externship Program, a free legal clinic that provides legal services to business owners. Spencer received his Bachelor’s Degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration from Western Illinois University, graduating Cum Laude and as an Honor’s Scholar.

Spencer is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and is a member of the General Bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Spencer focuses his practice on Creditor’s Rights, Commercial Litigation, and Post-Judgment Enforcement.
